Preserving historic buildings is vital to understanding our nation’s heritage. In addition, it is an environmentally responsible practice. Existing buildings can often be energy efficient through their use of good ventilation, durable materials, and spatial relationships. Some practical benefits of historic preservation include retention of history & authenticity, economic benefits, retention of building materials and reuse of infrastructure.

What  will the Construction Sector Deal bring to the North East?

We are pleased to be holding a seminar discussing The Construction Sector Deal and how it links to the Transforming Construction fund, which commits £170m of Innovate UK funding alongside £250m from industry over the next 4 years.

Between them, the Construction Sector Deal and Transforming Construction aim to create a modern, dynamic, productive construction sector. The outcomes of this policy and funding aim to create skilled jobs, deliver energy efficient and affordable homes.

The speakers will explain what the CSD and Transforming Construction fund are, and their aims and objectives.  Find out how to access Transforming Construction, and what the CSD and funding could mean for all members of the construction sector, including clients, in the North East.

Michael Foster and Stephen Lowsley of Driver Group will be exploring the problems with delay analysis and what an Adjudicator needs. This seminar will help you to gain an understanding of the following:

  • The main recognised delay analysis techniques;
