Emerging Engineers finalists will give a short presentation on the technical papers they have submitted.
Each presenter will then be quizzed by the audience and the judges with the judges then choosing the winning entry. So please come along, ask a few questions and support the North East entrants.
The Emerging Engineers Award (formerly the Graduate and Student Papers Competition) encourages student, graduate and trainee technician Members of the ICE to submit a paper on any civil engineering related topic in the format of a research paper, report or written exercise essay.
Applicants compete for prizes in their Regional Final, where the winners will be shortlisted to compete at the Emerging Engineers Award Global Final for prestige, the ultimate cash prize and the Institution Medal as won in 2015 by the ICE North East’s regional winner Paul Chambers.
The Emerging Engineers Award (EEA) promotes and rewards excellence in the communication of civil engineering ideas, research, best practice on projects and design.
