The proportion of women working in the construction industry has remained stagnant at 13% for the last two decades.
Whilst we are recruiting women across all areas of the industry, retaining them, their skills and their potential seems to be one of the greatest challenges.
We need men and women from across the industry to join us for an interactive morning where you will hear from people driving change in their organisations, the industry and their own careers.
Delegates will learn how they can initiate and support change in their organisations, meet other people with similar aspirations and understand how they can turn obstacles into advantages to further their own professional development.
Speakers include;
- Frank Clayton, Group Head of Learning – NG Bailey
- Chrissi McCarthy, Founder/Managing Director – The Duck Project, Constructing Equality
Panel Discussions;
- Women in … the North East – Regional networks of women working in construction, what they offer and their plans for the future.
- Still Going Strong – Women from the region speak of their time in construction, how they celebrated their difference, overcame challenges and grew their careers.
Our annual International Women’s Day conference continues to grow, year on year.
