Come along to our fantastic charity golf day being supported by the North East committee members of the Lighthouse Club for a second year running – a construction industry charity on September 29^th to help raise funds.

There will be a Shot Gun start at 12noon with breakfast rolls, tea and coffee served on arrival. 18 Holes of championship Golf, Beat the pro, Nearest the pin, longest drive and other on course competitions will be held throughout the afternoon. Then following the competition, a BBQ in the Grassholme Suite located in the Clubhouse will be served along with prize presentation and raffle.

Constructing Excellence in the North East are delighted to be holding the North East’s Construction Summit on Tuesday 20^th September focussing on the Governments Construction 2025 Strategy along with the recent review for 2016-2020.

The Construction 2025 strategy is at the heart of our vision at Constructing Excellence, and we seek to speed up the rate at which engaged players achieve the targets for improvement. Those targets of improvement include 33% lower costs, 50% lower emissions, 50% faster delivery and 50% improvement in exports. These particular targets will be headlined by five core themes for People, Smart, Sustainable, Growth and Leadership plus the additional ones in the 2016-2020 strategy; Client Capability, Skills and the Supply Chain and Whole-Life approaches.

We are extremely pleased to announce our headline speakers for the day are Don Ward, Chief Executive at Constructing Excellence, Richard Waterhouse, CEO for National Building Specification, Clive Johnson, Head of Health & Safety at Land Securities and Charles Mills, Capital Programmes Directorate of Construction who will all discuss their views on the strategy as well as state of the regions.

We will be confirming further speakers over the coming weeks which will include regional case studies. Following the Summit we will be hosting a networking drinks reception.

Constructing Excellence in the North East in association with Foundation of Light and the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation are delighted to host a charity Raceday at Newcastle Racecourse. The 2016 Race Day takes place at Newcastle Racecourse on Friday 12th August 2016

Foundation of Light/CENE are offering sponsor opportunities for the 2016 Race Day, an excellent opportunity for businesses to raise their profile at a flagship Foundation of Light and Sir Bobby Robson Foundation event. Previous Race Days have attracted businesses from the construction industry right across the North East region, providing an excellent opportunity for networking. (details can be requested)

The day is also a flagship fundraising event for both Foundations and funds raised on the day go directly to supporting the valuable activity undertaken by both organisations in the North East.   The day includes a fabulous 3 course meal, Race Card, and Premier admission to the Gosforth Park Suite. We are also joined by our expert tipster Roger Hart. Guests will enjoy a full afternoon of top class racing as part of the annual Foundation of Light and Sir Bobby Robson Foundation Race day.

BBC Radio Newcastle have also supported the event and are hosting a live show from the Gosforth Park Suite with Newcastle United and Sunderland AFC legends and pundits giving their thoughts ahead of the Premier League kick off.
