CDM seminar 2016: Are you an effective principle designer? Middlesbrough27/09/16

Engineers are frequently (and perhaps sometimes inadvertently) now taking on the role of Principal Designer under the 2015 CDM regulations.

  • What does the role of Principal Designer generally entail and what does best practice look like?
  • How are other engineers economically addressing the extra responsibilities?

Chaired by ICE branch chair Sarah Kellerman, this seminar will be an open discussion on how working engineers are currently addressing the new regulations.

Quick examples from a range of projects will be introduced for assessment by attendees. This will provide guidance on what can be done and what to avoid when managing the various risks and responsibilities. A nominal charge is being levied for the tea.
